Identity Theft

Some of the mistakes she made was that she used her debit card too often and would use it for small and large purchases. Also that she would never use her credit card because she didn't want to pay it off later and instead just know she had money in her account and pay then.

I think identity theft is common these days because the economy is so low and people need money and so they think "why not use someone elses money?"

People would need the persons security number, phone number, address, and credit card number.

Don't carry too many credit cards, debit cards or other information with personal information in my wallet. Don't use the debit card so much and have one with a small amount of money in the account to minimize how much of cash can be stolen.

I think it is both peoples fault for stealing it and not having enough protection and common sense.
